The PAALS Inc Provides Fund

(The PIP Fund)
  

• The PIP Fund consists of two types of giving:

  • Ten Kora’s Grants [$500; awarded Jan Feb March May June July Aug Sept Nov Dec]

  • Two Biko’s Gifts [$2,500; April and Oct]

    • Biko’s Gift presented to the recipient orgs during PIP Events

• Nonprofit organizations (“orgs”) must apply for the PIP Fund in order to be considered for either PIP Fund gift

• Only one app need be submitted for consideration of receiving either PIP Fund gift

• Applications not selected in January’s vote are automatically rolled into the applicant group selected from -- by vote -- in June

• Applications are valid for that application year only

  • (orgs must reapply yearly)

• If interested, applicants not selected can receive information on why they weren’t chosen, in cases of interest in working toward making changes and being reconsidered for a next round of voting / grant recipient selection

• Applicants / organizations will be researched to ensure that all information is valid, and to ensure that the mission of the org applying is in line with the mission of PAALS, Inc.

• All animal welfare nonprofits must have their 501(c)(3) by the time of application submission, in order to be considered for one of the PIP Fund grants.

• Recipients of the Kora’s Grant can reapply yearly

• Orgs can receive a maximum of five Kora’s Grants within five years

• Recipients of the Biko’s Gift can reapply yearly

  • Orgs can receive a maximum of five Biko’s Gifts within ten years
